Watch the trailer Alex made to propose to Sadie

On April 24th, 2021, Sadie and Alex went to see Raya and the Last Dragon at the Emagine Willow Creek Theater in Plymouth.

Sadie believed that they were simply watching the new movie, but Alex had worked with the team there to book the entire theater room without her knowing. His photography friend, Nick, doubled as a fake attendee. That, coupled with the low movie theater turnout at the time due to COVID-19, made sure that Sadie wouldn’t be too thrown off that no one was in the theater except for her and Alex.

Alex had built a custom trailer (that you see above) and managed to sneak in time to record Sadie’s parents, Alex’s brother Chris (the Best Man), and Becca O’hotto (the Maid of Honor), to make voice-over cameo appearances in the trailer.

The trailer was put into an existing trailer package that the theater normally plays. So Sadie actually watched real trailers before being surprised with the Proposal trailer. Once the trailer ended, Sadie’s family surprised her as well by coming into the theater.

He asked. She said, “yes.” On to happily ever after!
